Water stored in copper container can offer numerous health benefits. We recommend reading more about it in ourย post. Cleaning the inside of the copper containerย (after 2 weeks or if necessary if there are dark or green spots, a metallic or unpleasant taste. )
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of mild citric acid to the copper container, alternatively squeeze a lemon/lemonade into the copper container and add a tablespoon of salt.
  • Pour in water and let stand for a maximum of 2-3 minutes.

Please note that the mixture should not be left on for longer than necessary, otherwise the acid can have a negative effect on the copper.

  • Rinse until the water looks clear and tastes neutral.
  • and dry well if you do not use them again immediately.

Over time, however, the copper becomes darker and the stains can no longer be removed due to theย natural process. However, this does not affect the drinking experience and as long as the water remains clear, it is completely harmless.
