In Dali , the heart of Yunnan, where the Cangshan Mountains rise with quiet strength and the still waters of Erhai Lake reflect the passing clouds, lies a place of rest and renewal. Here, in this timeless land where ancient towns softly echo the wisdom of the past, your inner journey gently begins.

Free pickup service

To make your arrival as smooth and relaxed as possible, there will be a free pickup service from Dali Fengyi Airport (IATA: DLU, ICAO: ZPDL), one day before the retreat officially begins. You will be welcomed with care and guided comfortably to your accommodation.

As a Native Chinese practitioner and teacher, Fan Yang brings a rare fusion of authentic Taoist training and contemporary mindfulness practices. Having studied Yuan-Qigong under the guidance of a Taoist master at a monastery, she embodys the tradition’s precise energy cultivation techniques while offering accessible interpretations of classical texts through self-directed study. Her background as a yoga instructor and meditation guide enriches this foundation, allowing her to draw insightful parallels between Taoist, Buddhist, and yogic philosophies. In teaching, Fan Yang emphasizes the harmony of movement and stillness—whether through the dynamic flow of Yuan-Qigong forms, the introspective depth of seated meditation, or the philosophical bridges connecting Eastern wisdom traditions.   • By plane: the nearest airport is Dali Fengyi Airport (DLU).

Or you can reach Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG). From Kunming you can take a train to Dali Train Station

  • By train: the nearest train station reached by high-speed train is Dali train station

The two airports and the train station mentioned above are both reachable from Beijing/ Shanghai/ Guangzhou or other big cities in China.

Once you arrive in Dali, we will arrange for you to be picked up in our car. So, before your arrival, you will be contacted by us to set up the arrival and pick-up date/time.

Yes. After dinner, you can join the meditation session or spend the evening as you like.
You will also have one free Sunday during the retreat.

5-minute walk (500m) to Dali Old Town’s North Gate and Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas

8-minute taxi ride to Zhonghe Temple → Take the cable car up to hike Cangshan Mountain’s Jade Belt Trail, then descend via Gantong Temple Cable Car

17-minute taxi ride (¥10–20) to:
✓ Jizhao Nunnery
✓ Erhai Lake (Caicun Pier / Longkan Pier)
✓ Wuwei Temple
✓ Ancient Tea-Horse Road village ruins

If the retreat is canceled by us, you will be notified at least 15 days in advance and your payment will be refunded.
If you cancel over 30 days before the retreat, your payment will be refunded 100%; If you cancel between 15-30 days before (both 15 and 30 are included) the retreat, 50% will be refunded; If you cancel within 15 days before the retreat, it’s non-refundable.

Tai Chi sessions will be held indoors in a traditional hall. The guesthouse is located nearby.
